What do you believe will define truly effective branded content in the years ahead?

Our industry is at a turning point with AI, but the key in the years ahead is how we balance AI innovation with human insight and intent. As an industry, we must figure out how to embrace AI tools as a force multiplier—use it to move faster, scale smarter, and unlock new creative possibilities—while staying anchored in what actually earns attention: a clear brand mission, real connection to community, and consistently high craft.AI can accelerate the work, but authenticity, taste and good judgment must define what resonates.

Key Insights

As people come to Pinterest with intent - to search, plan and shop - we have a unique window into what audiences really care about, the inspiration they’re looking for and action they’re going to take. I particularly love our Pinterest Predicts Trend report , which is our annual not-yet-trending report.

This year, at a high level, we learned that consumers are seeking comfort, authenticity, and grounded optimism in an attempt to quiet the constant noise of the world. This came to life across our 21 trends for the year, including my personal favourite, Throwback Kid, which is all about vintage-inspired outfits, classic toys, and upcycled baby looks. My kids have so many of my old clothes and toys from the 80s!

What I love most about our trends, and Pinterest in general, is that we see people making the trends their own, and using them to drive personal expression.

And the real wins come when brands get involved, and integrate trends authentically into content, campaigns and even product development. This helps to create true audience connection, and we see it drive significant performance results.

Signature Work Achievements

Hannah Meium Harman is a creative and strategic leader with nearly 20 years of global experience, primarily in New York and London, working at the intersection of content, culture, and technology. Her background spans all “sides” of the industry, having spent time on the brand, creative agency, publisher, and for the past 7 years, platform-side of the business at Pinterest. She’s known for translating complex business and audience challenges into clear, scalable creative solutions—helping brands tell stories that are entertaining, platform-native, and measurably effective.

At Pinterest, Hannah is part of the Pinterest Brand Studio team, and has led some of the company’s most visible advertiser programmes for Europe, including Seasonal Trend Badge, Pinterest Predicts, and most recently expanding her remit to include Creators. She has shaped scaled, culturally relevant programmes that drive meaningful revenue impact and growth for brand partners. Her role includes strategic development, go-to-market planning, and execution.

Hannah’s earlier career includes leading branded content and platform-first storytelling across orgs. At DDB New York, she helped the agency and clients rethink digital storytelling with a true audience- and platform-first approach, developing 360° multi-platform strategies for brands including State Farm, Persil, Heineken, and Play-Doh.

As Director of Branded Content at Mashable Studios, she ran a 15-person global team and drove significant, double-digit growth for two consecutive years through insight-led, multi-platform campaigns and productised advertiser programs. At Madison Square Garden/MSG Entertainment, she drove major internal and industry milestones—including Rockettes social community growth, producing a four-time NY Emmy-winning reality program and a two-time Webby honoree for Rockettes digital content.

Career Lessons

Treat major life transitions—like returning to work after parental leave—as a re-entry, not a “back to normal”. Ask for what you need, such as clear priorities, flexibility, and boundaries, and try to find teams and leaders who genuinely support balance and lead with empathy. I’ve had two children in the last 5 years, and I’ve been lucky to return to work to a supportive boss and team, and I cannot overstate the difference it makes. After my first child, someone told me “You’re not trying to become your old self again, you’re becoming a new version of yourself. It’s not back to Hannah 1.0, now it’s Hannah 2.0.” And take your vitamins!

Hannah Meium Harman Infuse your branded content with real, cultural, and lasting trends. Don’t chase fads.
